Some parts of the country will still experience cloudy skies and some rain shower on Saturday due to the prevailing northeast monsoon and easterlies, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Friday.

Rains will be experienced in parts of the country due to the northeast monsoon affecting extreme northern Luzon and the easterlies over the eastern section, PAGASA said in its 4 a.m. weather bulletin Wednesday.

The northeast monsoon or amihan will be affecting extreme Northern Luzon while the easterlies will affect the rest of the country, PAGASA reported. Caraga, Davao Region, and Southern Leyte will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur due moderate to at times heavy rains Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due
