The Texans acquired Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk in exchange for a 2026 seventh-round pick, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini. Jacksonville reportedly planned to release Kirk into free agency, but the Texans will now reportedly assume Kirk's $16.5 million salary in 2025.

According to multiple reports, the Texans have restructured wide receiver Nico Collins' three-year contract, thus freeing $9.8 million in cap space. The move will convert some of his base salary for the 2025 season into a signing bonus and spreading the remaining cap hit over the remainder of his deal.
