In Chattogram, Bangladesh, three Hindu temples were attacked by a mob on Friday following sedition charges against a former Iskcon member. Authorities reported damage to the Shani Temple and other temples' gates.

Dhaka: Amid protests over monk's arrest in Bangladesh's Chattogram, three Hindu temples were vandalised by a mob. The slogan-shouting mob approached the temples "unprovoked" and "vandalised" them while the gates were closed.

Amid ongoing violence against Hindus and other minorities, a violent Islamist mob on Friday (29 November) attacked and vandalised three Hindu temples in Bangladesh's Chattogram. The port city has recently seen protests and unrest following arrest of a former ISKCON member and Hindu Monk Chinmoy Krishna Das.

Spiritual leader Chinmoy Krishna Das, a former member of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) of Bangladesh, was arrested in connection with a sedition case on Monday and denied bail on Tuesday.
