Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is off to a rough start, with the firm acknowledging technical challenges and issuing a software fix.

The newly released Microsoft Fight Simulator 2024 is experiencing turbulence, as many players are unhappy with its launch state.

“We knew the excitement was high for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, but frankly, we completely underestimated how high, and it has really overwhelmed our infrastructure,” series head Jorg Neumann said. “We’re really sorry, we want to apologize.”

At its launch on November 19, 2024, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is also available to users with an active Xbox Game Pass subscription, commonly listed for a far lower monthly price than its $69.99 MSRP and the best way to try a game if you're unsure of its appeal.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has, ironically, not got off to a flying start, as its initial Steam rating places it as one of the worst-rated games on the storefront after it temporarily fell even lower than Overwatch 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
