The Drake men's basketball team defeated Miami (Fla.) 80-69 on Thursday at the Charleston (S.C.) Classic. Bennett Stirtz led the Bulldogs (4-0) with 21 points. He added six rebounds and six assists. Daniel Abreu was next with 18 points.
Drake men beat Florida Atlantic to advance to Charleston Classic title game
The Bulldogs beat Miami, 80-69, on Thursday in the Charleston Classic opener. That was Drake's first victory against an ACC opponent since topping Wake Forest 77-74 in its second game of the 2017-18 season. Drake will play the winner of Seton Hall/Vanderbilt in the tournament championship game at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
