A man was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries after a shooting in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood Wednesday.

According to the Chicago Fire Department, a man, 40 sustained two gunshot wounds while on Clark Street, just north of Fullerton Avenue. He was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and was initially listed in critical condition.

(CBS DETROIT) - A Lincoln Park officer and a suspect were injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon, according to police. The shooting happened in the 26400 block of Outer Drive in Lincoln Park. Michigan State Police says its Special Investigation Section is responding to the scene.

Lincoln Park — A Lincoln Park police officer and a suspect were hospitalized after a narcotics investigation led to gunfire Tuesday afternoon, authorities said. Officers for the Special Investigation Section of the Michigan State Police were requested at the scene in the 26400 block of Outer Drive at 3:50 p.m.

Evidence technicians were on the scene after the shooting on Clark Street near Arlington Place just before sunset. Kris Habermehl reports from CBS Skywatch.

The Chicago Fire Department said one man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition.
