Hasan Mahmud, a 24-year-old Bangladesh bowler, demonstrated his extraordinary prowess by claiming significant wickets against India in a recent Test match. Despite his modest celebrations, Mahmud's talent for making the ball talk has earned him high praise from cricket legends.

Mahmud’s Test debut, too, happened by chance, against Sri Lanka earlier this year. The team management was grooming a younger fast bowler, Musfik Hasan, for the series. But he picked up an injury and the door opened for Mahmud. He took four wickets in the second innings and returned with a six-wicket match haul on his debut.

Singled out by Allan Donald as the best quick to emerge from the country, he snared batting heavyweights but didn't celebrate too much.
