Brazil’s Supreme Court ordered Elon Musk’s X to pay a fine of almost $1 million a day until he stops users from accessing the banned platform in the country.

Elon Musk’s X faces steep daily fines in Brazil for allegedly evading a ban on the service there, according to a statement from the country’s supreme court on Thursday.

Elon Musk’s X told Brazil’s Supreme Court that it had appointed two attorneys to represent it in the country, nearly three weeks after a top judge ordered internet providers to block access to the social media platform in Latin America’s largest nation.
