Valencia, Spain - November 11, 2024 The rains have already left at least 223 dead, most of them in Valencia, and 23 missing. The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, announced this Monday a new royal decree to help those affected by the DANA that includes 110 measures and that he has valued at 3.

On Thursday, parts of Spain were braced for even more flooding after orange alerts were issued for southern Granada and Valencia's coastal area, where between 40-120mm of rain were projected to fall. Winds of up to 74mph and high seas are predicted for Tarragona, Barcelona and Murcia.

Parts of eastern and southern Spain are now dealing with the aftermath of historic and deadly flooding at the hands of a storm system that brought incredible amounts of rain in short order.
