The Brussels public prosecutor’s office says former Belgium international soccer player Radja Nainggolan has been charged with participation in a criminal organization

Former Belgium midfielder Radja Nainggolan was charged on Monday as part of an investigation into cocaine trafficking on an international scale, a day after he was arrested, the Brussels prosecutor's office said.

The Brussels public prosecutor confirmed that the player was “deprived of his liberty in connection with this case” after Brussels Federal Police carried out multiple searches mainly in the province of Antwerp and in and around Brussels.
