The Astros began their final homestand of the regular season against the Angels on Thursday with two outfielders on the injured list. Chas McCormick played catch prior to the series opener with his fractured right hand but is still not swinging a bat.

Houston Astros outfielder Ben Gamel was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left fibula fracture, according to the team, which originally termed his injury a left knee contusion. Gamel suffered the injury Saturday running into the right-field wall while making a catch in Anaheim.
