Apple appears to be ramping up its Siri efforts to secure a spot as a key player in the AI arms race. The company is reportedly working on a more conversational version of its voice assistant Siri that'll be powered by advanced large language models,

Dubbed "LLM Siri" by Apple employees (LLM standing for large language model), the new Siri is already being tested internally on iPhones, iPads, and Macs as a standalone app. But if all goes well, the new assistant will eventually replace the Siri we all know and have a hard time loving.

The tech giant has been testing the upgraded software on iPhones, iPads and Macs, and it will ultimately replace the Siri interface that users rely on today.
