Do not go to this beach! We are literally covered in toxic crude oil from this beach! All our belongings are ruined. Our children, our vechical, shoes, beach gear, ourselves... covered! Full review by Krista M

Beautiful beach. Sand was beautiful, and tides were low. Buy passes from convenience stores on the path, and you can drive your car onto the beach, which is wonderful. Full review by puppy3600

I have a few questions about Whitecap Beach especially by the access point. When I look at the Webcam I see a long row of cars pretty close to the surf (never seen that before on any beach anywhere in the world). 1) Is there an area close to the access point where there are just people with chairs and umbrellas etc.? And are there chairs for rent close to there? 2) If you just walk up (so no car), where is the best place to go sit still reasonably close to the access point? Thanks in advance!

Yes, drive north on Windward drive past holiday inn express towards the channel. There is a public beach parking with nice restroom facilities where we usually go. Cars can enter on farther up beach but don’t usually park that far down beach. Back down beach usually a very nice guy there that rents chairs with umbrellas. Will set up and come back later and pick them up.
