Nice beach located after the Manuel Antonio national park tour. Beach itself is very scenic and beautiful however it is slightly badly maintained. I would recommend a visit . Full review by Prasad G

Great experience to swim in the pacific, a bit more wild than the Caribbean, middle of the jungle, monkeys all over the place, birds, crabs and all you need to feel in paradise, calm, less people tha… Full review by Violems

Absolutely beautiful spot. Even better then we expected. We have traveled a lot and seen a lot of beaches, this one was top notch. Full review by Carlos A
The website lists that the park is closed on Mondays. Is there a way to access the beach on a Monday? Thanks

Is this a suitable swimming beach for a family including a 9-year-old? Are there times of day when the waves and riptides are safer? Any other safe swimming beaches between there and Jaco? We will be in Jaco for a few days but plan on using it as a base.
A:
There were lifeguards there constantly warning of riptides. The water is shallow for some time and our 5-11 year olds all had a blast! Definitely didn’t go deep.
Hi. It’s not clear whether you can pack in your own food when visiting the beach. Is it not allowed or maybe just a bad idea because of the aggressive monkeys? Thanks.

You can bring sealed drinks wrapped sandwiches while fruit (apples banana oranges) but no chips crackers cookies of any kind

Yes you do to visit this specific beach (manuel antonio beach). If you go to google maps, you'll see three beaches labeled. One is Espadila South Beach; another is Manuel Antonio Beach. The only way to access these is a ~20 minute walk from the boardwalk through the National Park Entrance. There is a rock formation blocking the walk from the "public beach" labeled as Espadila Beach. Espadila Beach is access from a road. The nicest beach in my opinion was the Espadila South Beach at the exreme North End near tide pools with shells and crabs and fun shore break waves.
