It was closed when we were there. My wife and I only ones there. The garden there are breath taking.. Being there for a very short time, you feel peace! If you are in the area..stop there. Full review by Cheryl S

Seen the cross from the interstate as I've driven past the area in the past. Was staying in Effingham for the evening, so decided to stop and get a closer look. The giant cross is an impressive sight… Full review by Dr_Xaos

Is the visitor center only open certain hours? If so, what are they?
A:
The Welcome Center at The Cross is open from 10am to 4pm November to April; 10am to 7pm May to October.

No food at the cross but plenty in close vicinity .
