My combine did not have lateral tilt, and I centered the headers center feed drum up with my feederhouse chain. I know it doesn’t have the correct gleaner offset but it seems pretty minimal in the grand scheme of things.

Once the combine shaft is correct speed and header running your MacDon guy would need to check the sickle speed to make sure it is correct. That is adjustable down by the pump on the header. As others have mentioned on here before, the MacDon books that come with the header are GREAT!
The combine involved was a Model W CASE and this one was horse drawn and equipped for bagging grain. No idea of how the 4-5 man crew might have come out, but the teamster's seat is jammed into the ground out front. Location is in the center of the Palouse hill country of Eastern Washington State.
Other than mog removal from behind the machine, what would be the drawbacks or just plain problems with using your combine as a stationary sheller? Assuming you can devise a method to feed the machine easily and efficently, is the modern combine, when set up for corn, as efficient at shelling as a dedicated sheller? Thanks.
