Yes of course this isn't a speed demon among all hotspot devices out there. But full retail it's just $72, and if you got during this promo it was free.

WEBFeb 20, 2024 · It regularly doesn't work. Typically it won't work on newly released devices for several months. It won't work on ones that have previously used the test drive. Other times nobody knows why, and, again there is no support for it. Try it on a different device, or forego the test drive and ask folks around you who have T-Mobile about their coverage.

WEBMar 26, 2021 · With AT&T I was lucky to get 2 Mbps down/0.5 up which routinely cycled down to 0 Mbps every 15 to 20 minutes. Working from home was almost impossible with AT&T. The T-Mobile Test Drive provided 35 to 40 Mbps down/3.5 to 4.6 up pretty much all day with no drop outs. Fell off less than 10 Mbps in early evening hours.

The speeds are pretty fast and it's a pretty small device (smaller than most current smartphones) so it's been really convenient to bring along. WEBSadly it’s congested so badly that the test drive either wouldn’t even work or barely pulled 0.1mbs. Support wasn’t able to help any at all. It was like a Mercedes dealer giving you a Smart car to test drive when you’re wanting to buy a S class.
