WEBOct 15, 2006 · The hot air exits the furnace in to the regular duct system. See pic below. The wood furnace blower is controlled by a TC in the plenum of the furnace. The fire box has a blower that is controlled by a thermostat upstairs. When the house is cold the thermostat kicks on the firebox blower and blows air to feed the fire.

WEBOct 25, 2016 · So I have a daka wood furnace and I've never been very fond of it since I do hvac for a living and take out 50 year old systems that are more advanced than this thing. I found a Crack by the door today that started from one of their welds. It's 3 years old but the warranty says I have to pay freight to ship it back.

WEBOct 3, 2009 · I installed a daka 622 add on wood furnace this fall and it is rated at 125,000 BTU but struggles to heat my 2200 sq.ft. home. I've also got a 68,000 BTU forced air electric furnace that will heat the house with no problem. I would think if the daka really did put out 125,000 BTU that it would be roasting me out of the house.

WEBOct 23, 2007. #2. I used to own a Englander add on wood/coal furnace. it worked very well but it didn't have shaker grates so it didn't burn coal that well but it worked great with wood. I had to get rid of it because when the power went out so did the heat. The blower blew almost all the heat straight into the duct work.

WEBOct 23, 2007 · Plus it seems it would be easier for the blower on the daka to pull the air from the return side duct work rather than through the main furnace filter, around the blower, and down through the A-coil of the AC, especially with the outlet air from the Daka directed up and away from the main furnace.

WEBJan 2, 2008 · Its an add-on with the trunk and some ducting that comes with it. Its a very nice looking furnace, and it produces around 75000 btus. I would also recommend a stainless steel liner for the chimney. An epa woodfurnace or stove can produce inside temps over 2000 degrees so that all combustion products are cleaned.
