WEBJul 4, 2005 · If you want a DRO and power feed, a used machine with DRO and feed will probably be cheaper than retrofitting new systems. When looking at a used machine, make sure all the pieces are there. My recently purchased mill was missing a few parts and finding the replacements has been expensive and time consuming.
Will Bridgeport riser blocks fit even the early round ram models?

Wondering if there is any differences I should be aware of, such as diameter, counter bore, spider, etc. from the more popular dovetail machines? Or has that been a constant on all of them. WEBSep 18, 2017 · There were (at least) 3 types of 6F models... the A, B, and C. If you look at the parts breakdown, the A looks different then the B and C. The A model had the circuit board mounted in a casting that typically was attached to the base of the mill. The less amount of controls you are talking about would be just the rapid button and the speed pot.

WEBFeb 19, 2015 · Not an expert but it looks like your common or garden variety J-head 9x42 mill at first glance. Power feed on X, not on Y or Z (common setup), no DRO. Do yourself a favor and find someone who understands the machine and bring that person with you, paying as necessary. It'll be worth it.

Which I think is Bridegport strong point There is/was a machine rebuilder near the Southampton docks who rebuilt Bridgeports years ago, I don't know if their still there.
